These terms cover Nix Agents and any account you hold with Building Tech Alternatives. Using either means you accept them.
The licence
Nix Agents is desktop software licensed to you for your own use, on as many of your own machines as you like. A subscription is per person, not per machine.
It is built on Orca (MIT, © Lovecast Inc.), whose licence travels with the parts derived from it.
What you are responsible for
- The model provider keys you put into the app, and what they are billed for.
- What the agents you run do to your code. They have real shell access because that is the product.
- Keeping backups. Git worktrees are not a backup.
Subscriptions
Plans renew monthly or yearly until cancelled. Cancel from Stripe's billing portal or by writing to us; access runs to the end of the period you paid for. Prices can change, but never in the middle of a period you have already paid.
Credits are a monthly allowance, not a balance you own. They reset each period and do not carry over.
What we promise, and what we do not
Nix Agents 0.1.2 is a developer preview. It will have bugs, it may lose a session, and features described on this site may change before launch. We do not warrant that it is fit for any particular purpose, and our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.
